Saga of Tanya the Evil Reveals July 8 Start Date.
After years of waiting, fans of Saga of Tanya the Evil finally have a release date for the anime's long-awaited second season. The official anime website recently revealed a brand-new key visual and confirmed that Season 2 will begin airing in Japan on July 8 at 21:30 JST, marking the return of Tanya Degurechaff nearly a decade after the first season premiered in 2017.
International fans won't be left behind either, as Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will stream the new season as it airs. Adding to the excitement, series regular MYTH & ROID will return to perform the opening theme song, "Why? RED induction," while Tanya's voice actress, Aoi Yuki, will perform the ending theme, "Weiter! Weiter!"
As an added bonus, the fan-favorite Yojo Shenki mini-anime will also make its return, with new episodes scheduled to air immediately following each episode of Season 2. With the premiere now just around the corner, the countdown is officially on for one of anime's most anticipated returns.
Behind the scenes, Season 2 will be led by director Takayuki Yukimoto, with Kenta Ihara overseeing series composition and Yuji Hosogoe handling character designs while also serving as chief animation director. The anime continues to adapt the light novel series written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki.
With a release date now confirmed and the premiere fast approaching, the wait for Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 is finally coming to an end. Nearly a decade after Tanya Degurechaff first captivated audiences with her ruthless rise through the ranks of the Empire's military, fans will soon be able to dive back into one of anime's most unique war stories. Whether you're a longtime follower of the series or planning to experience Tanya's chaotic world for the first time, July is shaping up to be a month worth marking on the calendar.
