Apple renews Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed for season two
Apple TV has renewed Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed for a second season. The October 14 announcement confirms that the dark comedy thriller starring Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson will continue, although a return date has not been set.
The renewal arrives roughly three months after the first season finished on July 15. Its ten-episode run began on May 20 with a two-episode premiere, followed by weekly instalments. The complete first season is now available globally on Apple TV.
Created by David J. Rosen, the series is an original story rather than an adaptation of a book or existing franchise. Maslany plays Paula, a newly divorced mother whose investigation into a suspected crime becomes entangled with her custody battle.
Rosen serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The production comes from Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios, with David Gordon Green among its directors and executive producers.
Apple has not announced when filming will begin or how many episodes the second season will contain. Its renewal announcement also leaves the next season’s story details under wraps
