Klaus

Why we picked it
I loved this one. The animation is beautiful, and the friendship at the centre of the story gives it so much warmth. An easy recommendation for a Christmas movie night.

The Polar Express

Why we picked it
A train ride to the North Pole is a pretty great place to start a Christmas adventure. The strange characters and sense of wonder make the journey worth taking.

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer
51 min · Animated TV special
Why we picked it
It’s pretty mid, but it was a staple on TV growing up. A lot of the appeal is the nostalgia, and sometimes that’s enough to bring you back.
Rental/purchase listing. Availability in Trinidad and Tobago is unconfirmed.
Rise of the Guardians
97 min · Animated movie
Why we picked it
Seeing Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy come together makes for an awesome adventure. Jack Frost trying to figure out where he belongs gives you something to care about beyond the action.

A Christmas Carol
95 min · Animated movie
Why we picked it
I had fun with this version. Scrooge’s journey has some surprisingly creepy moments, which give it a different feel from the lighter movies on this list.

The Grinch
86 min · Animated movie
Why we picked it
A decent Christmas outing from Illumination. It’s colourful, funny in places, and easy to put on when you want something light to watch with the family.

You’ve watched all six. Save this collection for another Christmas movie night.
