King’s Proposal anime confirms 2027 broadcast and Rie Takahashi casting
King’s Proposal will begin broadcasting in 2027, with Rie Takahashi voicing the powerful witch Saika Kuozaki. The announcement arrived on October 25, 2026, during the Fantasia Bunko online festival, alongside a teaser visual and a video message from Takahashi. The anime’s newly launched official website confirms the release year and casting.
The fantasy series takes place in a world that faces a potentially catastrophic threat roughly every 300 hours. Magicians secretly protect humanity by eliminating the forces responsible. Saika stands at the top of that magical world and leads an academy for magicians, until an encounter with a young boy begins a love story intertwined with saving the world.
The adaptation is based on the light novels written by Koshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako, the creative partnership behind Date A Live. An anime project was first announced in October 2025; this update establishes its television format, broadcast year and first announced cast member.
An exact premiere date, animation studio, director and additional cast have not been disclosed on the official website. International distribution and streaming arrangements also remain unspecified.
