Love Live! Nijigasaki’s Final Film Sets February 5, 2027 Release in Japan
The final film in the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club's concluding trilogy will open in Japanese cinemas on February 5, 2027. The October 16 announcement arrived with a teaser previewing the school idols’ next stage.
The film follows the group into the final round of the School Idol GPX competition in Tokyo, continuing the story after their activities in Okinawa and the Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe areas. Director Tomoyuki Kawamura, screenwriter Jin Tanaka, and animation studio Sunrise return for the concluding chapter.
The ensemble includes Hinaki Yano as Yu Takasaki, Aguri Onishi as Ayumu Uehara, Akari Kito as Kanata Konoe, and Coco Hayashi as Setsuna Yuki. The project continues Nijigasaki’s focus on performers pursuing individual ambitions while supporting one another within the same club.
The trilogy follows the television anime’s two seasons and its 2023 OVA. Its first theatrical chapter opened in September 2024, with the second following in November 2025. The upcoming film completes that three-part continuation.
February 5 is the confirmed Japanese theatrical date. The announcement does not establish an international cinema release or streaming date for the final film.
