Noa Is My Senior, and My Friend Anime Confirms 2027 Premiere and Main Cast
The television anime adaptation of Noa Is My Senior, and My Friend will premiere in Japan in 2027. The October 11 announcement revealed the main voice cast and first key visual, following the adaptation’s initial confirmation in July.
Rina Kawaguchi will voice Noa Saotome, while Tomoya Ito plays her junior colleague, Rihito Otsuka. Character design sketches for both leads were also unveiled alongside the update.
Based on Enma Akiyama’s manga, the workplace comedy centres on two employees at a game company. Noa is an accomplished art director admired for her professional abilities, while Rihito is a second-year employee who prefers to take life at a quieter pace. After he accidentally discovers the vulnerable side she keeps hidden at work, the pair begin an increasingly complicated friendship outside office hours.
That contrast drives the story, exploring the gap between Noa’s capable public image and her more emotionally demanding private personality. Their after-work relationship puts two very different approaches to life in close contact.
The manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump on July 6, 2023. It later placed eighth in the print category of the 10th Next Manga Awards and surpassed one million copies sold in February 2026.
Studio feel. is producing the adaptation, with Shinsuke Yanagi directing, Keiichiro Ochi handling series composition and Yumiko Yamamoto designing the characters.
A specific premiere month, episode count and international streaming platform have not yet been announced. For now, the confirmed release window is 2027.
