Jason Statham is back as Adam Clay in the first teaser trailer for The Beekeeper 2, released on October 15. The action sequel is scheduled to open in US cinemas on January 15, 2027.

This time, Clay’s former employers are the threat. The Beekeeper organisation has gone rogue and is attempting to take control of the government, forcing him to confront the operatives who helped make him such a dangerous assassin. The trailer previews that conflict with the heavy weaponry and close-quarters violence that defined the first film.

Timo Tjahjanto takes over directing duties from David Ayer. Known for The Night Comes for Us and Nobody 2, Tjahjanto brings an established action background to the sequel. Original screenwriter Kurt Wimmer returns, joined by Ready Player One and Free Guy writer Zak Penn.

The cast includes returning performers Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Jemma Redgrave and Bobby Naderi, alongside Pom Klementieff, Yara Shahidi and Adam Copeland.

Released in January 2024, the original The Beekeeper earned more than $162 million worldwide. It introduced Clay as a retired operative whose quiet life is disrupted by a devastating scam. The sequel expands the story around the secretive organisation behind his training, putting Clay into direct conflict with his own professional past.
