ELECEED anime moves to April 2027 and confirms Crunchyroll streaming
The television anime adaptation of ELECEED will begin broadcasting in Japan in April 2027. The updated release window and an English-subtitled version of its existing trailer were announced on October 21, 2026. An exact premiere date has not been revealed.
The series was previously scheduled for early 2027, after being delayed from its original 2026 window. The April announcement therefore represents a further scheduling update rather than the anime’s initial reveal.
Based on the Korean webtoon written by Jeho Son and illustrated by ZHENA, ELECEED follows kind-hearted high-school student Jiwoo Seo, renamed Yu Kazahaya in the Japanese adaptation. Yu has secretly concealed his super-speed ability until he encounters Kayden, a powerful injured Awakener hiding in the body of a stray cat. Their partnership draws them into battles and conspiracies involving other superpowered individuals. The webtoon had reached 408 episodes by October 2026 and has accumulated more than 1.75 billion views across its multilingual releases.
Junya Enoki voices Yu, with Tasuku Hatanaka as Jin Tatsuoka, Setsuji Sato as Dr. Delein, Hayato Dojima as Sota Yanagi and Shizuka Ito as Amane Yanagi. Kayden’s voice actor remains unannounced.
Hiroshi Nishikiori directs at DandeLion Animation Studio. Yousuke Kuroda handles the screenplay and series composition, Minami Sakura designs the characters, and Taku Iwasaki composes the music.
Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs. The latest announcement does not specify its complete regional availability.
