Takopi’s Original Sin film unveils main trailer ahead of November release

Takopi’s Original Sin: Thank You, See You Tomorrow has released its main trailer and a new visual ahead of its November 27, 2026 theatrical opening in Japan. The announcement, dated October 23 in Japan, also confirms Tele’s “Rabyu” as the film’s theme song. Character designer Keita Nagahara illustrated the new visual. t

The film re-edits the anime’s six episodes for cinemas and adds new scenes. It revisits the story adapted from Taizan 5’s manga, which follows an alien named Takopi who arrives on Earth hoping to spread happiness. After meeting a troubled girl named Shizuka, he tries to help her using his extraordinary gadgets, but struggles to understand the cruelty and difficult circumstances surrounding her.

Shinya Iino directs and handles series composition, with animation by ENISHIYA and music by Yoshiaki Fujisawa. The voice cast includes Kurumi Mamiya as Takopi, Reina Ueda as Shizuka, Konomi Kohara as Marina and Anna Nagase as Azuma. The Klockworx and TBS distribute the film in Japan.

Tele previously performed the anime series’ ending theme, “Glass no Sen,” and returns with a newly written song for the theatrical version.

The November 27 release date was announced previously. The new development is the main trailer, visual and theme-song reveal. International theatrical dates have not been established in the announcements reviewed.
