Two New One Piece Movies Announced for 2027 and 2029

One Piece fans have two new theatrical releases to look forward to, with Toei Animation officially announcing ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY for summer 2027 and ONE PIECE FILM BAAD for 2029. The films were revealed during ONE PIECE DAY ’26 in Japan, marking the first new theatrical projects since One Piece Film: Red was released in 2022.

The timing of both films is particularly significant for the franchise. GOD VALLEY will arrive during the 30th anniversary year of Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, which began serialization in 1997. FILM BAAD, meanwhile, is planned for 2029, the same year the One Piece television anime celebrates its own 30th anniversary. The title artwork for FILM BAAD was also handwritten by Oda himself.

For now, very little has been revealed about either film beyond their titles and Japanese release windows. Despite the obvious significance of the “God Valley” name to longtime fans, an official synopsis has not yet been released, so it remains to be seen exactly how the movie will approach that part of the story. International release dates have also not been confirmed.

With two films now confirmed across two major anniversary years, the next few years are shaping up to be particularly busy for One Piece fans.
