American Horror Story renewed for season 14 at FX
FX has renewed American Horror Story for a fourteenth season, extending Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s horror anthology beyond its current chapter. The renewal was reported on October 20, ahead of the season 13 finale on October 29.
Season 13 premiered on September 24 and delivered the series’ largest streaming premiere to date. It also became Murphy’s biggest launch on Hulu and Disney+, according to the renewal coverage.
The current instalment brought back several franchise veterans, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman and Jessica Lange. Joey Pollari, Orlando Jones, Paul Anthony Kelly and Elle Chapman are among its additional cast members.
FX has not announced season 14’s title, storyline, cast or premiere window. The renewal therefore confirms the anthology’s continuation but does not establish whether any performers or characters from season 13 will return.
Murphy and Falchuk created American Horror Story in 2011. The series is produced by 20th Television and has earned more than 100 Emmy nominations across its run.
