Lizard Music Adds Colman Domingo, Jeff Goldblum, and Rachel McAdams to Voice Cast

Colman Domingo, Jeff Goldblum, Rachel McAdams and David Krumholtz have joined the voice cast of Lizard Music, Benny Safdie’s upcoming fantasy adventure starring Dwayne Johnson.

Deadline reported the casting on October 15. Their character names have not been disclosed, and no separate studio announcement confirming the additions was located during this check. The Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists production combines live action with CGI.

Based on Daniel Pinkwater’s 1976 novel, the film follows a boy, played by newcomer Theo Leber, who discovers a mysterious late-night television broadcast featuring lizards performing music. His search for an explanation brings him into contact with Johnson’s Chicken Man, an eccentric older man accompanied by a chicken named Claudia.

Together, they investigate a hidden society, with their unlikely friendship forming the centre of the adventure. Seven Bucks Productions previously confirmed Leber’s casting in July, describing the project as his feature-film debut.

The previously announced ensemble also includes Alicia Silverstone, Tim Heidecker, Regina Hall, Arya Parvathi and Andrew Dice Clay. The project reunites Safdie and Johnson following their collaboration on The Smashing Machine, while moving into a distinctly different genre.

The latest casting report does not establish a theatrical release date or streaming schedule. The new performers’ roles also remain unknown.
