Here’s Your First Look at Disney+’s New Series, VisionQuest
It’s been almost two years since Agatha All Along came to an end, and we’re finally getting our first proper look at the final chapter of the WandaVision trilogy, VisionQuest. The project has been in some form of development since 2022, and now Paul Bettany’s Vision is finally stepping back into the spotlight as he attempts to understand who he really is after regaining the memories of his former self, but not the emotions that came with them.
Marvel brought VisionQuest to D23 in a big way, with Bettany joined on stage by James Spader, who returns as Ultron, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. The trio debuted the show’s first trailer and poster, giving us a much clearer idea of what Vision will be dealing with when the eight-episode series arrives on Disney+ in October.
The trailer shows Vision living in hiding after escaping those who wanted to use him as a weapon. In his search for some sense of identity, he begins communicating with the AI personalities embedded within his programming, including J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and, perhaps most importantly, Ultron. Things only get more complicated when a bounty is placed on Vision, forcing him on the run alongside Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious teenager who may actually be the reincarnation of his son, Tommy Maximoff.
The series also brings together a pretty interesting mix of returning MCU characters and new faces:

Faran Tahir will also reprise his role as Raza from the original Iron Man, while Diane Morgan, Polly Frame and Mary McDonnell are among the other names confirmed for the series.
With Vision finally taking centre stage again, Ultron back in the mix, and plenty of unresolved threads from WandaVisionand Agatha All Along still hanging in the balance, VisionQuest has a lot to work with. We still don’t know exactly how everything will come together, but the series looks set to give Vision’s story a proper continuation while closing out this corner of the MCU. VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
